Where it started
Alaska made us who we are.
Growing up in Alaska, one becomes accustomed to its vastness and the logistical challenges that come with it. As the largest state in the United States of America, spanning a massive 665,400 mi², it is home to only around 730,000 Alaskans, making it the state with the smallest population density. This sparse nature of Alaska's population centers means that infrastructure is widely disparate and often only accessible by boat or plane.
Kartorium was founded by 4 Alaskans with the goal of addressing the glaring inefficiencies involving remote site management, workforce turnover, and data management strategies in Alaskan heavy industries. At Kartorium, we continue to think about how we can help Alaskan companies, because we know that if we can solve problems here, we can solve them anywhere.
